Rock 4 Brian is more than just a benefit concert — it’s a day of love, music, and unwavering support for someone who’s truly fighting for his life.
On Easter Sunday (April 20th), Brian was admitted to Morton Plant Hospital for what was supposed to be a routine heart procedure. One he had done before without issue.
But things took a tragic turn. Moments after anesthesia was administered, Brian’s heart stopped. 💔
Emergency CPR and epinephrine brought him back, and doctors shocked his heart into rhythm.
He was rushed to the ICU. Critical but alive. Twice, his family was told to prepare for final goodbyes. But Brian? He kept fighting.
When Morton Plant had done all they could, Brian was airlifted to St. Joseph’s Main Hospital in Tampa, where he remains today in the CVICU. He’s faced kidney failure, liver damage, and has relied on an ECMO machine and Impella heart pump to stay alive.
Miraculously, the ECMO has since been removed, the heart pump upgraded, and he’s now undergoing daily physical and speech therapy. Brian continues to push forward — one day at a time. 🙏
